We pride ourselves on delivering the best service possible to people who need our help. Our team members work together to make sure you get the answers you’re looking for.
When we can help
When you contact First4Lawyers, you’ll first speak to one of our claims advisors. They will take some initial details from you – like your contact information – and they’ll ask you about your accident and injury.
If they think that one of our expert solicitors can offer you the help you need, they’ll transfer you – usually right away if it’s convenient for you. This helps to minimise any delays in your legal action, which can help ensure your claim is submitted by the deadline.
But everything will move to your timeline. If you’re not ready to proceed, we won’t pressure you. We understand that you might have to think about what you want to do – especially if you’ve been hurt in an accident.
At the point you’re transferred to one of our specialist solicitors, they’ll take over the management of your case. Your solicitor will adhere to the Code of Conduct set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
They will take some further details about your case and let you know if they can help you. They’ll set out what the next steps will be and what the process will look like. They’ll explain the concept of No Win No Fee if it applies to you and make sure you are comfortable with what’s happening.
Only pay a fee if you receive compensation
Our No Win No Fee solicitors will take a success fee from the compensation you are awarded for a successful claim in the form of a percentage of your damages. This could be up to 25% but it won't be more than that, except in cases of road traffic accidents. Changing laws mean our solicitors will now take a payment of 35% of the final compensation amount plus VAT for all road traffic accident claims.
First4Lawyers are an award-winning claims management company with a track record of delivering service that our clients love.
When we can’t help
If we don’t think we can help you get the outcome you want, we will tell you. We don’t believe in encouraging false hope.
We’ll make sure you know your options and that you are free to look for help elsewhere.
In most personal injury and medical negligence cases, if we can’t help you, it will usually be because the deadline to submit a claim has passed. This will mean that it usually isn’t possible to make a claim – and we’ll explain the details of the time limit during our call.
In most cases, this deadline is three years from the date of the accident, but it can be longer in certain circumstances, such as cases involving children and people without the capacity to claim for themselves.
This is why it’s important to make sure you get help as soon as you can after your accident.
Even if we can’t help you, we’re happy to answer any questions you may have. Our priority is making sure you have the information you need.
Speaking to us
You can get in touch with us in a few different ways. You can give us a free call, request a call back at a convenient time, speak to us using live chat or start your claim online. We’ll then get back to you.
During our call, we’ll listen to your situation and then let you know how we can help. We’ll explain what we do and what funding options are available to you. Your solicitor will then explain what costs you can expect to pay for your case.
We may record your conversation for team training. After you have taken on the services of our solicitors, we may email you a survey to find out your thoughts about our service. We may use your response as a case study on our website, which we will explain in the email.
First4Lawyers does not provide legal advice and we recommend speaking to a specialist solicitor for help.
