We are conveniently located close to the motorway network and within walking distance of the railway station meaning we are within easy commuting distance of Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Dewsbury, and Halifax.

About the role  

The Multi Track Fee Earner is responsible for the handling of Multi Track claims and complex Fast Track matters from inception, or transfer, to conclusion with an upper limit of £50k, depending on experience, rising to £100k for personal development, when the business considers it appropriate.

You will be responsible for the efficient progression of the caseload and meeting the business’ expectations in the delivery of high levels of quality, attention to detail and service to your clients. In addition, you will act as a mentor to other members of the team, along with providing technical support as required.

The Senior Legal Practitioner – Fee Earner Team Manager may require you to assist them at times with team related activities or case clinics, as directed. in their absence. The Multi Track Fee Earner will work with the Senior Legal Practitioner – Fee Earner Team Manager and Operations Manager in looking for ways to improve operating systems, processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all key case management actions and milestones within your caseload.
  • Monitor own performance to ensure that all agreed targets/KPIs are met.
  • Utilise MI and the case management system to mitigate risk prevention by accurately recording Key Dates.
  • Support the Senior Legal Practitioner – Fee Earner Team Manager with all activities as directed.
  • Act as a mentor to junior members of the team.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance to the Team.
  • Undertake case clinics to problem solve and progress outstanding issues on claims.
  • Work with the Senior Legal Practitioner – Fee Earner Team Manager and Operations Manager to improve systems, processes and best practice.
  • Provide feedback and embed best practice initiatives.
  • Have a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Have a clear understanding of the processing of the Intermediate Track.
  • Handle a case load of complex Fast Track and multi track claims from inception, or transfer, with an upper limit or £50k, depending upon experience, rising to £100k.
  • Be able to competently deal with court applications, witness statements, Precedent H, complying with Court directions, instructions to Counsel along with drafting and preparing Court Trial bundles.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience of working with Eclipse Proclaim Management Software
  • Previous experience of working within a fast-paced Personal Injury law firm is essential
  • Previous experience and knowledge of the RTA Protocols
  • Significant experience of dealing with complex and Multi Track claims
  • The ability to work well under pressure and towards tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Highly numerate
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with an eye for detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to communicate professionally at all levels within the firm
  • Good time keeper
  • A good team player, but also the ability to work on own initiative
  • Flexible approach to work
