Andy Kay
As well as directing operations here at First4Lawyers, Andy is part of the senior management team.
Andy joined us from AmTrust Europe Legal in early 2015, where he was managing director.
With almost 30 years’ experience in the insurance and legal sector, he has worked with a number of businesses, including AXA, D J Miller and City Claims. It is experience he has put to good use with us, where he oversees the development and implementation of our business strategy and the day-to-day operation of the business.
He works closely with managing director, Qamar Anwar, and finds himself engaged in a variety of work including business development, claims handling and marketing.
As his job title suggests, Andy plays a pivotal role in ensuring his colleagues on the senior management team are meeting their objectives and delivering against the business strategy: “Our senior management team is small – six people in total - but we’re hugely focused and achieve a great deal.
"It’s a fast-paced environment, but the breadth of the role keeps me fully occupied. There’ll be some days when I look up and start thinking about lunch only to see the clock says 3pm!”
Andy has also been instrumental in ensuring First4Lawyers has a strong brand that our customers can identify with.
It's also his job to keep abreast of a constant stream of government reforms, and says: “We’ll carry on fighting for what is right for innocent injury victims, to provide a first class service that protects the rights of the individual.”
He adds: “Despite being the leading brand in the market, we’re still a relatively small family-run business which brings with it a certain speed and ease of decision-making. It’s hugely refreshing and means we can achieve things quicker and more effectively than some of our competitors, which in turn benefits our customers.”
