Nicholas Awarded £5,500 After a Work Accident

Nicholas was at work in a kitchen, carrying out his usual duties. He was working near a cooker, when he caught his hand on a sharp piece of metal at the back.

The cut he suffered caused him to lose the top corner of his finger – an injury he couldn’t have foreseen happening to him.

As well as the trauma of losing part of his finger, the injury has affected the way Nicholas writes and eats. He explained that a number of other day-to-day activities will never be the same again for him. Nicholas also suffers from nerve damage as a result of his accident at work.

After thinking about the possibility of obtaining justice for the injury he sustained, he did some online research. He found First4Lawyers and gave us a call.

We realised that Nicholas had a strong case during our initial conversation. We were able to put him in contact with a solicitor who specialises in accident at work claims.

His solicitor agreed that Nicholas had a valid claim for compensation and went on to put his case forward. It was done on a no win no fee basis, so he knew he wouldn’t have to pay anything if he wasn’t successful.

In the end, Nicholas’s solicitor was able to win £5,500 in compensation for his injury.

Speaking about working with First4Lawyers, Nicholas said: “Overall my experience with First4Lawyers was a good one. I would definitely recommend them, as I found them to be friendly and helpful.”
